Prof. Dr. Sazzad Hossain, a distinguished academic and researcher, brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to this esteemed position. His appointment marks a significant milestone in the continued growth and excellence of NSU SEPS, a school renowned for its commitment to engineering and scientific education. At the event organized to celebrate this appointment, Engr. Md Abdul Kayum, MIEB, President of the NSU SEPS Alumni Association; Engr. Khondokar Tamirul Islam, General Secretary; Engr. Md. NSU SEPS Alumni Association, North South University (NSU ) Donates to Central Flood Relief Fund of NSU
The NSU SEPS Alumni Association ( Ex-students from School of Engineering & Physical Science, North South University) has made a significant contribution to support the flood-affected communities of Bangladesh. In response to the recent devastating floods in Cumilla-Noakhali-Feni area, the association handed over their donation to the Central Donation Fund of NSU through Prof Dr. Mohammad Sahadat Hossain, Dean, SEPS, NSU, to reinforce the university's ongoing relief efforts.
The handover ceremony took place at the NSU campus, where executive leaders from the Alumni Association presented the donation to university officials. This initiative highlights the commitment of NSU SEPS alumni to give back to society and aid those in need during times of crisis. Speaking on behalf of the NSU Alumni Association, Engr. Md. Abdul Kayum, MIEB the President of the association, expressed their solidarity with the flood victims and emphasized the importance of collective action in times of natural disasters. "As alumni, we feel a deep connection to our community and nation. It is our responsibility to support those who are most vulnerable during this challenging time," he said. The NSU Central Donation Fund, established by the university, has been actively working to provide relief and rehabilitation for flood victims across the country. The donation from the NSU SEPS Alumni Association, North South University (NSU ) will further strengthen these efforts, allowing for more substantial support to those affected by the floods.
ALUMNI REUNION – 2023 School of Engineering & Physical Science (SEPS) North South University Held
The alumni reunion of the Faculty of School of Engineering and Physical Sciences of North South University, the country's first private university, was held on the university campus on Saturday. President of The Institution of Engineers Bangladesh Engineer Md. Abdus Sabur was present as the chief guest at the reunion ceremony held at the auditorium building of North South University located in bashundhara residential area of the capital. Prof.Dr.Javed Bari,PE, Dean, Faculty of School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, NSU were present as program chairperson.
The convener of the organizing committee of the event was an alumnus of the ECE Department of the university, President of NSU SEPS Alumni Association, Chairman of Green Fire and Power Engineering Limited, Elected Member of Electrical Engineering Division of IEB Engineer Md. Abul Kalam Azad. Abdul Qayyum. Member Secretary of the Reunion Organizing Committee, alumnus of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences and General Secretary of the NSU SEPS Alumni Association, Engr. Khandaker Tamirul Islam. The other members of the reunion organizing committee are Engineer Rupan Kumar Mitra, Engineer Md.
